Camie is the founder and owner of Equity Compliance Solutions, bringing over 18 years of experience as a civil rights executive with a proven track record of designing and leading innovative, multi-million-dollar compliance programs in large PreK-12 and higher education institutions.

Before founding Equity Compliance Solutions, Camie worked as a Title VI and Title IX Senior Solutions Specialist, delivering effective response and resolution services to educational institutions. She successfully served as a consultant in outsourced roles, including Title IX Coordinator, Deputy Title IX Coordinator, EEO Officer, hearing advisor, trainer, and policy and procedure developer. Camie aims to build trust and fosters collaboration with clients to create meaningful and sustainable solutions.

Camie served as the inaugural Chief Title IX Officer at Chicago Public Schools, where she established and led the nation’s first comprehensive PreK-12 civil rights department. She directed the Office of Student Protections and Title IX and the Equal Opportunity Compliance Office, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws—including Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX—for the fourth-largest school district in the U.S., serving over 300,000 students and 40,000 staff members. Her leadership extended to managing cases of corporal punishment and physical abuse. In recognition of her expertise, Camie was invited to present at the Title IX 50th Anniversary Congressional Briefing in 2022, hosted by the Democratic Women’s Caucus, and consulted nationally to help districts develop system-level compliance solutions.

At the University of Phoenix, Camie served as Vice President and Title IX Coordinator, overseeing compliance with key federal laws, including Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). She managed student and employee misconduct, disciplinary matters, and complaints involving federal financial aid laws.

Camie holds a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland.
